Just gettin' started with this thread. Hopefully, others will follow with their mods or build ups, etc.
Anyway, my wife and I bought a 1986 Bronco II for her several years ago. After putting around and using it for a daily driver for 3 years, we took it to Last Chance Canyon....wouldn't you know it, I rolled it! Scary, too, as my wife was with me and was pregnant with our youngest at the time and I had my daughter and son in the truck as well! Thank God, noone got hurt and it only (and pretty gently) flopped onto it's driver's side. We had two other rigs with us and proceeded to get 'er the right way up with chains and a tow strap. Topped up the fluids and away we went. My wife and kids rode with our friends as we were missing some glass and it was damned cold (middle of Feb. 2001).
I patched it up though pretty rough. I later found a 1984 for parts for $100.00 ! We jumped on it. But, when I went to go pick it up, not only did it start, but it ran absolutely great. I drove it about 20 miles to home. We couldn'd bare to take it apart for the repairs on the '86 and I have been slowliy building it up and driving it ever since.
I have made some mods to it. It first went up 2 inches in the front and finally got outfitted with some steel wheels and 31" mud terrains (used, of course). Then between savings and tax time, I went with a 3" body lift and eventually a 6" Skyjacker Suspenions LIft. Here is a link to pics with 33" Mud Terrains and the body lift, just hours before and some after, I ran it into a boulder in Goler Wash up near Red Rock Canyon.

Anyway, more to come as I continue the never ending reconstruction.
Laterness,
Dave
